Chakras and skin aesthetics

There are seven main chakras along the spine, these being the most important as each of them is linked to an endocrine system. The chakras (our energy centers) are the treatment target of LOKRAM cosmetics. When the chakras are out of balance, or energy cannot circulate, there is an imbalance in emotions. And do you know what this energy imbalance can cause?

Relating chakras to skin aesthetics: a great business opportunity

The word “chakra” originates from Sanskrit and means “wheel of light”. The human being has countless chakras, but the main ones are the seven vortices located in alignment along the spine, which rotate at high speed, vibrating at vital points in our body. The seven chakras along the spine are the most important because they are associated with the endocrine glands.

They provide vital energy to each of our cells. Each chakra has specific meaning, colors and elements, which stimulate its movement and consequently the circulation of energy in a balanced way. They are responsible for the exchange of energy between the physical, mental, energetic and spiritual body. The link between the imbalance of one or more chakras and physical and emotional illnesses is due to this primary function of the chakras of carrying out energetic exchanges. Therefore, when a person is experiencing pain, a physical problem or an emotional problem, one or more chakras are most likely blocked. In a healthy person, all chakras will be spinning at great speed, allowing vital energy to flow through the endocrine system.

But if one of these centers begins to slow down, the flow of energy becomes inhibited or blocked, resulting in premature aging or disease. Several factors, which are strongly present in the busy lifestyle we currently have, lead to chakra imbalance, such as: our own negative mental patterns, stress, unbalanced diet and lack of sufficient sleep. But what is the relationship between all this and the beauty of the skin?

To understand this relationship, it is first important to be clear that each of the seven chakras is directly linked to the human endocrine system, each one corresponds to one of the seven main glands of the human body:

  • First chakra (basic), located at the base of the spine, in the perineum region, is connected to the adrenal glands, responsible for releasing the hormone adrenaline into the blood and governs the organs that give structure to the body: bones, muscles, spine, hips, legs and feet. As this chakra is linked to stress levels, due to the release of adrenaline into the blood, it is indirectly responsible for the good appearance of the skin, as excess adrenaline releases free radicals, which contribute to premature aging of the skin. Furthermore, this chakra is also linked to the production of estrogen, which is the hormone that most influences the skin's appearance;

  • Second chakra (sacral or umbilical), located in the lower belly region, is linked to the gonads, testicles in men and ovaries in women, responsible for the release of hormones linked to reproduction and involved with the control of liquids throughout the human body, filtration and circulation of fluids in the kidneys, being responsible for the elimination of toxins in the body. Hormones released by this system, such as estrogen, directly influence the beauty of the skin;

  • Third chakra (solar plexus), located two fingers above the navel and connected to the pancreas, controls the viscera region, responsible for absorbing energy from food and distributing it throughout the body. Thus, stomach and digestive problems are linked to this chakra. Many people in adulthood face some type of stomach problem, often linked to stress and poor diet. LOKRAM also sees that a cream that works on this chakra has a vast and important target audience;

  • Fourth chakra (cardiac), located in the center of the chest, connected to the thymus gland, responsible for energizing the cardiorespiratory system. A cream can be created here for the elderly, particularly those who are bedridden, who often have serious cardiorespiratory problems. Its blockage can cause heart attack, tachycardia and in women it can induce the development of breast cancer;

  • Fifth chakra (laryngeal), located in the throat and connected to the thyroid and parathyroid glands, linked to blood filtration and the menstrual cycle in women, governs the mouth, throat and respiratory tract, and in imbalance causes herpes, gum problems, pain throat or hypothyroidism, another important endocrine system that directly affects the beauty of the skin;

  • Sixth chakra (frontal), located on the forehead between the eyebrows and linked to the pituitary gland or pituitary gland, it controls all the other chakras and governs the frontal lobe, influencing the health of the eyes and nose, indirectly affecting (by controlling the other chakras) the beauty of the skin. Excessive thoughts, lack of focus, ideas that don't get off the ground are the mental symptoms of imbalance in this chakra, with sinusitis, feelings of panic and headaches being the physical symptoms of imbalance;

  • Seventh chakra (coronary), located in the center of the head, very important in expanding consciousness, it energizes the brain, influences mental functions and the production of serotonin, the well-being hormone, which regulates sleep, mood, appetite , among other functions, and by controlling the release of hormones such as those involved in the reproductive system, it also indirectly affects the beauty of the skin.
